One Day Cleaning and Hygiene Training for Dairy Industries at Biratnagar

The training event on cleaning and hygiene in dairy industries was successfully conducted at Biratnagar in Province 1, Nepal. The event aimed to raise awareness among small and medium-sized dairy industries about the importance of maintaining high standards of cleaning and hygiene comprising three main components: Clean-In-Place (CIP), open plant cleaning, and personnel hygiene.
Objectives
• To educate participants on the significance of cleaning and hygiene in the dairy industry.
• To identify and mitigate sources of contamination in the dairy supply chain.
• To provide technological insights into CIP and open plant cleaning.
• To introduce safe and effective cleaning products as alternatives to caustic and harmful chemical detergents.
The event was designed with a strong focus on Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI). Efforts were made to ensure diverse participation, including women and individuals from marginalized communities. Special provisions were made to facilitate their involvement, ensuring that the training was accessible and beneficial to all participants.
